A big part of our script centered around the app/program called “Zoom”. Zoom is video conferencing tool where my group and I got together to finish the last half of our script. For this part of the script I had my brother come and help me film the lights flickering, where I would give him little cues to know when to flick the lights. I added and removed a few bits of the script as I filmed to make it more ‘natural’ and I believe it did give the scene an improvement, making it seem more tense and mysterious. I removed the part where I said I was going to get some water, and I stutter that I would “I’ll be right back”. Using this line adds to the mystery aspect as I don’t specify where I am going, leading to the screen going black and hearing me scream.
